Upgrade process to migrate from an 806 to a 1608

Guess I need to have an RTFM session.  I have time as the 806 will suffice for my next couple of band dates.  If I land on a best practice, I'll be sure to share.

I might even breakdown and call support...  Yes, the green light is on.  No the cup holder is closed with the cd inside... And what part of Bangalore are you from "Mike" ? ... Oh wait, that's Dell  :)

Keyboard Magic:
Of course, there’s actually just only one gigantic tech support group in the whole wide world for every manufacturer out there.  ;)

Actually as I uncommitted my RTFM, it looks like maybe it is simpler than I thought.  I have an iPad 3 with MF3 but no shows.  It's my lyrics machine and backup in case of you know...  So it has never actually been docked.  I think what I will do is to slot that one first and make sure the firmware is up to date.  Then I'll shutdown, install my main MF iPad and sync to it.  Seems like that should work...

Silvertopsolarnut:
We bought the 806 and decided we made a mistake and sent it back for the 1608.  We had saved a couple shows, including photos on the faders.  When we received the 1608 we docked it and it updated from 8 channel to 16 and held the show in the iPad.  I can't remember if it saved the other shows or not, but it did save and Carry over the last show in the master fader

Let us know if there is a way to move the shows over.

I was able to use a friends 806 show on my 1608. Everything seemed to work okay.

Now I am considering getting the DL32r and I'm hoping my own 1608 shows will import.
