Actually what amazes me is that Peavey hasn't come out with one...

Probably in the works.

It is surprising since they actually make good matrix mixer/signal processors. They've had the tech for some time. Just need to do a retail package for the masses.

Dunno, Peavey's in pretty poor financial shape I hear :( .  This RCF M18 looks like a great contender against the Behringer XR18 :) . Sure wish Mackie had one :( .

OTOH I really need a 24 channel as my next mixer. And OTOH the Behringer X18 can be had for $499, I kinda need a multichannel recording interface and could "make do" with that...

It only has 8 mic pre's though compared to 16 on the XR. And it's probably more money. They were smart though putting a real wireless AP in it, dual band and all.

No Photo here but they have a price:

Nice! And the app looks pretty well laid out too! Built in dual band wireless? How hard was that to implement? Mackie?

$900? RCF is a great company, but that's WAY to pricey for that tool set relative to others in the same market.

They introduced it last year at Musikmesse 2015. It apparently took them a long time to get it ready for market. Too bad they actually put the Wifi into the unit instead of a 1 Gig Ethernet chip. That would give them a possible Dante connection and lower price.

Why are audio Mfg.'s putting EOL parts into their product, I don't get it or worse tie themselves to a single source.

Looks, like a nice little mixer, why didn't they make it rack mountable?
I'll probably, download the app just to play around.

Also 8 XLR inputs wound never work for most bands. They should have gone all combo jacks. Way too many direct boxes would be needed.

Actually no, Direct boxes output mic level voltages, not line level. So DIs aren't going to help you with line inputs.

And it doesn't offer any more I/O or recording facility than my DL1608. The only thing it appears to do better is fx. It's only saving grace is that it's not much dearer than the 1608.

The app is rather nice looking. Nice graphics and colors
Don't see any subgroups, mutes or user assigns. I still have more playing to do.

For those who watches the show Shark Tank.......for those reasons, I'm out.
