Is been a while since it was mentioned, has MF3 cured it or not?
-
Maybe, I had it on mf2 and so far not on mf3, time will tell...
-
I've been watching for anyone running MF 3.x to experience it and so far nothing. Mackie claims it's fixed and on that I'm ready to believe them. Doesn't help anyone running MF2.1.1, but it was the type of problem that requires serious attention and I think Mackie made it a priority. Just one more reason that the PEQ lag is minor in my mind and something I can easily live with. Pretty sure Mackie will get around to fixing it, but as something that doesn't show up badly in the audience, it has to be considered low priority.

I guess you missed the post from a while back. He could get white noise in a matter of minutes.

None so far as he said.

Looking good then. Happy days!

I feel left out. :( I wish I could say I experienced it so that I could say MF 3.X cured it. After hearing about this issue way back, I just decided to use up Ch. 15/16 in stereo with AirPlay. It works a treat! 8) And with the trim feature added (MF 3.X), you can control the hot iPad channel volume issue too. Very Nice. :thu:
I'm very pleased that Mackie eliminated the problems and this bodes well for the next update of MF 3.X too. :)

Hi KM - slightly off topic. But when I used linked channels 15 & 16 for ipod playback I noticed that the trim control only effected one of the channels - that is, it reduced/increased the gain on side of the stereo input.
Can you check next time you use it and post back if it works properly for you.
Cheers

Sure. I haven't ventured on to MF 3.X yet on the DL. I'm however playing with it on my older iPad 2. I have it open right now and can see one trim adjustment slider and just above it, Left and Right buttons. It looks like you have to select one say Left, adjust, then select Right and adjust and make sure they're both the same levels?
I hope I'm not leading you astray? But that looks like it.
Too bad they didn't make the trim slider control both channels at the same time when they're linked. Then go back to normal when you unlink them.

You got it Keyboard, it fooled me the first time too.

Had regular problems prior to MF3. Simply couldn't rely on the iPad music playback for background music at gigs
Not one "white" noise incident since upgrading to MF3
Problem cured :)
