Upgrade process to migrate from an 806 to a 1608

Long time 806 user in my personal band.  Finally needed to up the channel count.  So I have a 1608 in bound.  When it arrives, I need to
1. Make sure the firmware is up to date
2. Move my shows. Over to the new mixer.

I'm running MF 3.02

What is the best approach ?

I'm not sure you can move your shows over.  Seems to me some 1608 user wanted to do that with a DL32R and couldn't.  The firmware update will happen anyway.  (Has to match the version of Master Fader you're using.) 

Let us know if there is a way to move the shows over.

Best approach is to back them up by exporting the shows and emailing them to yourself, then when you get the 1608 connect the iPad to it, let it sync and try loading a show. If it all gets messy, you at least have the back up to use with the 806. Fingers crossed for you.

I'd have thought 806 shows would migrate to a 1608 without trouble, and with MF3 having a backup facility.....

Clearly someone will need to try it.  Actually, that ought to be something the demo mode should either allow you to do or not.  My bet is what either works or doesn't work in the demo mode will also be what happens in real life.
