Are there any one-liners or musical tidbits that you've come across that have changed your perspective, or something musical that got lodged in your brain when you heard/read it? You know, chin-scratchers, noggin' knockers, eye-brow raisers. Things that make you get this look on your face ----> :o
Here's a couple recent ones for me that got lodged in my brain and have altered the way I go about doing things:
"Your right hand is who you are. Your left hand is what you know." (playing)
"Try to connect with one person in the audience." (singing)
I feel like I need to stimulate what's left of my musical mind right now. :D :'(
Anyone have any brain pokers for me?

It's not what you play that's important, it's what you don't play.

I was seven and all into rock and roll and he was a 50's jazz guy. He played great, but I wasn't into "Stranger on the Shore."
