Title: Looking for ipad lock thingy
Post by: jfeniello on May 28, 2015, 01:43:12 PM
Hi,
I've had my dl1608 for awhile now, and got a second used ipad that i plan to keep in the DL.  Problem is, i can't find the little lock thing that you put on the right side of the ipad after it's docked to keep it in place (sorry, can't think of the office name for it :) ).
Does anyone happen to have one they'd like to get rid of?

thanks

Can you not make one with a bit of aluminium angle or something similar?

it's called a pad lock :)

there are none on eBay right now but Mackie might just send you one if you call them.

I guess a few years down the line, this is where your 3 d printer will step in.

I called Mackie, $4.75 (+$5.00 shipping).   Not bad. Since the rackmount was $100, i figured this would be $39 or something.  Going to order one, but they're backordered until July...I guess alot of people misplace them.
Thanks for the input.

Used the dock lock once, with my original DL1608, haven't been able to find it since. It's hiding somewhere in the house.

No way I'd want mine locked in there. Sometimes when it loses sync, you need to pull it out to get it to reconnect.
