Anybody have any idea when Mackie is going to update My Fader to match Master Fader?? I can't use my iPhone until this happens!!

Last word was at or shortly after NAMM (next week?).

I saw Feb 2015. Hopefully soon, but I'm betting it's a bit trickier. Might have a bunch of new features.

A lot of gripes about the release date of My Fader 3 and MF 3.X issues Wow. You sort of get the feeling that Mackie kinda really doesn't care too much? Or is having a lot of trouble getting My Fader out? I really hope Mackie is actually paying attention to their Facebook Page and keeping and eye out here too.

I seem to remember that they were supposed to show it at NAMM? Not a peep AFAIK :( .

Still thinking that Master Fader 3.x wasn't just modified. I'm betting it's a near full rewrite and My Fader needs to be a near full rewrite too. (And that is what is holding things up.) Come on Mackie, we're rooting for you on this!

I don't claim to know Jack Sh1t about app development but isn't iOS on an iPhone extremely similar to iOS on an iPad?

You're right that ios is nearly identical on an ipad and an iphone. I doubt that is what is holding My Fader up. We know that Master Fader 3.x involved new firmware on the mixer. My thought is the hang up is probably getting the new My Fader to interface with the new firmware. Building the graphical front is pretty easy. There also might be a ton of testing making sure that My Fader doesn't introduce a new white noise source. (Or more lag.)

Then the only thing preventing Master Fader running on the iPhone is the size of the screen? Will it run on an iPhone 6+?

Just went to the App store on my Wife's iphone 6+ and only My Fader shows up. So I'm guessing that either it's locked out or can't run on it. (Locked out is likely, but the controls would be very tiny if it did load.)

Of course the opposite is true, you can install and run My Fader on the iPad. Why? Not really necessary, but boy the interface is way much bigger. Might be good for older eyes? ;) And of course the whole idea of My Fader was to run it on much more portable devices for convenience purposes. :)

It'd be great for the iPad mini doing a monitor mix - if they ever fix it so it can do a stereo mix, it presently lacks pans :( .

I emailed BenO / Mackie 5 days ago with questions regarding MF 3.X and My Fader. Haven’t received a response yet. Last year BenO used to respond very quickly to personal emails, usually within a day or two. I was impressed with the speed at which I got a reply. Not so much now. Must be a lot going on at Mackie?

I’m leaning towards a “double whammy release too” (maybe not a double whammy per say). Most likely in Feb, now. So, who will be the first to post the good news? ;)

I am assuming this is OK to post since he told me at NAMM without a qualifier... but I spoke to Ben at NAMM about My Fader release. He felt confident that a beta release would be out by the end of the 1st week of February, in time for a Saturday the 7th show I was concerned about having it for.

Unless you've signed an NDA with Mackie anything they tell you is public information :) . OTOH did he actually say "public beta"? If it's just a private beta it won't be available to the unwashed majority :( . I have three gigs in February where I'd love to use My Fader but only if they've added the missing pan pots to the stereo mixes. They like to use just a pair of sidefills for monitoring. I usually just give them one of my iPads with Master Fader locked down to the single mix - I'd still give them an iPad but My Fader would be easier for them to run (and see). The guitarist on stage running it is a retired "A" list sound guy - I'd not normally let anyone run their own monitors unless they are IEM's.

But they did announce the Mackie Dante Expansion Card for DL32R ??? What's the wait time for this one?
I love the Analog "Built in Limiter" in the other pix though....

Just applied for the My Fader Beta Test. I'm number 205 on the application list . :lol:
It's now Wednesday and not a peep! Beta test is almost over. Oh well. :)
