Title: Furman Power Conditioner + Mackie DL series ?
Post by: Loic.J on December 10, 2015, 09:45:50 AM
Hello,

(First excuse my English.)
My DL32R is connected to a "Furman PL-Pro DMC-E" in a rack and I would like to know if I can let the power switch button (of the Mackie) on the "ON" position.
Some of my friends say "No, it's not recommended", the others tell me yes and I can use the Furman's Power switch button to supply the rack.

Thank you for your help!

Loïc

I use a similar Furman power unit and I never use the power switch on the rear of the DL32R,
it gets power along with all the other gear in that rack when I turn on the Furman's front power switch.

glad to help,
when I am finished with the job, I create another snapshot and name it,
then power down the amps and powered monitors and the DL32R rack.
No problems have ever been encountered using this proceedure.

Same here. I have a Furman power sequencer in the rack with the DL32R, and I've never user the power switch on the DL32R. I always power it on and off with the Furman. No issues so far.

My only issue is that the wifi router needs to be completely up and running before I power on my DL1608, or else it won't register itself properly with the router.  (the DL is hardwired to the router).

Yup, same here. Anyway it's good practice to power dow your amps before the mixer (and the reverse on power on) to avoid tweeter destroying spikes.

You can "fix" that by going to static IP's - works great for me :) .
