So is the latest update worth doing? I'm still on ios8 and MF 3, haven't updated yet mainly because I didn't like the sound of that delay in opening MF, the latest update seemed to only slightly reduce the delay time? Does everything run better or are people experiencing any issues? im running an iPad4 btw.
-
I haven't made the leap either on the basis that I am running iPad2s and its all working well at the moment, there is no additional functionality and the fixes are primarily aimed at iOS9.... thus no compelling reason to make the leap.
-
I am going to do the upgrade today.
Wrapped up all the shows I have to do for the next two weeks, so I have plenty of
time to see if there is any noticeable impact.
My biggest concern is that I often use my iPad on someone else's DL series system. On the
last upgrade they never upgraded the firmware, but I still had no problems in connecting and
running the show remotely.
-
I'm a bit similar inclined, everything works at the moment. Aside from the DL, am I missing out big time on my iPad by not being on ios9? Haven't really noticed much difference since I updated my iPhone....
-
FWIW, I have an iPad 3 running iOS9 and MF 3.2.3 ... Everything is working just fine for me. However as with all technology related things - your mileage may vary ... ;)
-
Are you experiencing that slow load-up of master fader?
-
Yes, I think that started a little while back. I don't know if it's a nature of the newer MF software or the Apple
upgrade. It seems to take about 15-20 seconds to load the program. If your not used to this delay, it will kind of freak you out thinking there is a problem.
-
That will freak me out yep. ;D Anyone know why the delay happens? Beno?!
-
The delay is while the program decides if it wants to piss us off .
-
Note: All my iToys are running on the latest version of iOS which is 9.1
Did all the updates to both the iPad 2 and the Air 2, there is a bit of a load delay of MF 3.2.3, on the Air 2. It is better than MF 3.2.2. The iPad 2 MF 3.2.3 load delay is about the same, but not bad. MF 3.2.3 still lags quite a bit on the older iPad 2. No change there.
-
I'm using 3.2.3 on iOS 9 on my iPad Air 2, and the load time for MF is about 7 or 8 seconds. I have no problem with that. As for iOS 9, the new features are, for the most part, useless to me.
-
Hmm, think I'll wait until an update comes out reducing the startup delay to 0!
-
Updated iPad 2 to IOS 9.1 and MF 3.2.3
The IOS update took forever (2 hours)
MF 3.2.3 took a few seconds
All seems to be working OK
Fingers crossed it stays like that for next weeks gig
Cheers

No delay in opening MF app?
-
There's no delay in opening the app, just seems to take about 5-10 seconds before
you actually can start controlling it.
Not that big of a deal.....my solitaire game apps takes that long to boot up🔊
-
10 seconds to open app
-
The app loads immediately, it took 5 seconds before it was useable.
-
Without iPad version all these times are meaningless.
-
its about the same time whether I open it on my ipad-Air 2 (wireless) or on the ipad 2 which I keep locked onto the 1608
-
Delay is nothing more then the time that the app needs to fully load
Would be better if mackie did program a loading screen, then switch to faderscreen
Now it is sometimes confusing
-
I just wait for the numbers to turn white. That's my signal that the program has finished loading. And the latest version is taking about half the time to load. (About 20 seconds.) If it actually works better, I can't see the difference, but I was OK with the old version. After it finishes loading, it works pretty well. (Thanks to the programming team.)

I just open the app while I’m finishing my setup, that way I don’t notice the load delay. If you’re sitting watching it, it does seem to take forever. Like watching for the kettle to boil, waiting for your average laptop or PC to boot (unless you have a solid state drive of course), or even that iPhone. It’s all perspective, I think. 8)
