Looks solid, not sure if I like the inputs on the front though, and there are far too many inputs, they did not come back to me over my rm602 HI   suggestion

HI( hardly intelligible)

I think the future is 3 in 14 steroe pairs out,

Set your gear up at one gig and route to 13 other venues and then have the rest of that fortnight off

This looks silly though "usb jack for included wi-fi lan adapter (using a router)" quoted for Thomann/Presonus's blurb. Does this mean you can only use the USB WiFi Dongle to connect to an external router? If so it's pointless on 99% of gigs, you may as well just stick the router in the LAN port and have done with it

Just another marketing blunder. They forgot the little word "NOT" using a router.

Get a grip WK  ;D don't you think they're trying to sneak a useless bit of kit past us end users?

It makes sense to me, I think, had a beer,

You have a mixer on stage with a  usb dongle plugged in, this enables the mixer to speak to all the iPads and such connected to your airport express? And your express functioning as a rnge extender maybe?

Yes?

You gotta drink beer with your buddies, much more fun. You also should have called it quits after "to all the iPads". NO ? No boat anchor required.

IN the cold light of day, it makes sense to me,

Your laptop has a built in antenna, you can use that or use a dongle to acheive the same or add a lan cable

I suggest this mixer will pick up wi fi from your separate router via a dongle or lan cable and will talk to multiple pads and pcs etc.

If you look at the picture, it has  LAN socket bottom right marked control?

Surely you still need a router in the system WK (your knowledge is much greater than mine but I didn't think you could connect more that two devices without a router)?

Berry are offering a similar confusing claim with their imaginary x18.

Built in Wi fi module, I suggest to talk direct to pads because there is no physical dock?

However this has a LAN port too

Sam it actually depends on the software implementation. Knowing Presonus you will most likely need an access point. Once there is a manual we'll know for sure. I doubt that they have the inclination to implement ad hoc WiFi. I just remembered that this is a PC implementation and they lucked out. Here are some articles describing ad hoc.

If the Presonus software doesn't support ad hoc a hotspot in the PC will fix that problem.

For the i crowd here are the instructions.

Build into iOS7 is Multipeer  Connectivity Framework a form of mesh networking. Apps like FireChat.
