So those still using an iPad 1 can still get the corresponding My Fader? Woo :) !

And it looks like they officially support the iPad now, don't think the earlier ones did? Great news for those of us with a spare iPad mini we want to use for a monitor mix :) .

All we need now is for them to PUT MF2 back in the app store for 1st Gen iPad users (and those who still have issues with MF3) There has been no excuse since October 2013 http://mashable.com/2013/09/17/ios-legacy-apps/ (http://mashable.com/2013/09/17/ios-legacy-apps/)

I'd be surprised to hear that MF2 isn't available for iPad 1's - normally the app store will serve up the older revs for those devices running an older incompatible iOS?

I was trying to sell my DL to a guy with an iPad 1 and he tried it to no avail. The app store just told him he needed iOS6 or later. There is a workaround apparently (which I didn't know about when I was having the email conversation with the guy), if you download the latest version using iTunes and then try to load it onto your legacy device from there iTunes will off you download a compatible version if one is available (and I think it's iTunes who keeps older versions so if a compatible version has ever been made it should be there).

Beno, you need to fix your system requirements. The 4th generation iPod Touch topped out at iOS 6.1.6.

My Fader 3.0 requires iOS 7.1 or greater.
My Fader 3.0 is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or iPod touch (4th and 5th generation).

As of this moment, searching for My Fader in the actual App Store app on an iPhone 5 or iPhone 5s still only shows My Fader 2 as available -- at least here in the Baltimore/Washington metro area. In order to actually install the app, you have to enter the link Beno provided into Safari (on the phone), and which will allow you to install the app.

The store may update correctly with the iOS 8.2 update. I didn't know about the update, and don't know yet what it entails.

Yeah the store search hasn't updated yet for some reason. You can go right there with this link above.

I had the same issue.  Had to hook my ipad up to Itunes and load the app through Itunes.  It's in and working just fine.  Thanks Mackie.

I've got to say, it looks pretty horrible on an iPad Mini -- like it's running on an iPhone 3GS. I would have thought it would show at least as many fades as on my iPhone 5.

Nope.  It's really geared for iphones and ipods.  I now have a 4S and 6 iphones.  (The 4S is being relegated to monitor control duties now.)

Noice!

Although roughly 3 months between the release of Master fader 3 and My Fader 3 is an inexcusable clusterf***

At least it's here now and we can move forward, hopefully never to see a repeat performance of this from Mackie in the future....

Thanks BenO :)

I get that, but I see more faders on my iPhone 5 and 5s than I do on the iPad. Doesn't make sense, really. I should be able to get at least the same number of faders on the larger screen.

What you are seeing is the same number of faders on a 4S iphone.  The iphone 5 and 6 have longer screens.  The ipad is shaped more like a larger version of the 4S.  (5 channels vs 7 channels on my iphone 6)  Actually the app looks much better on my 6 than the 4S.  I especially like the whiter level numbers.  Hope they'll copy that over to Master Fader at their next update.

Yes, if they could put whiter level numbers in My Fader, hopefully they can add this feature to Master Fader without too much trouble.
