Finally getting annoyed by iOS update reminders.
One of the iPads is in everyday use so updating would make some sense. It seems to me I have three options:
1) Keep everything is it is and comprimise other apps until I move to Behringer (rant, stamp, eating of humble pie). I would like to avoid this one.
2) Take a chance on one (of two) iPad3s, install 9.3.4 and see if either MF3 or preferable 4 (rta) will play nice, potentially bricking it as far as the dl1608 goes if issues arise.
3) All or nothing, update both iPads and say a prayer to the patron saint of rational development.
I'd like to maintain a stable system but feel like I am caught between Mackie and the rest of the world.

Are you sure it's 9.3.4 - my iPad 2's and iPad mini are on 9.3.3 ...
-
Agree with poster, my current version is 9.3.4 as well.
Incidentally I have had no issue with this on iPads or iPhones so far.
Keeping fingers crossed since some apples are rotten to the core.

Yeah you need to look for the update, no auto-notification on this one. So far I've had no issues. Just wondering which App Apple went after to disable ;D

Doesn't show as available on any of mine.

So the axe fell on the iPad2 and mini's already. >:(

I suspect that whatever fixes are in 9.3.4 don't apply to the iPad 2 and original iPad Mini.

It's updating on my ipad2 and ipad minis. So far no noticeable issues. Still have a week before the mixer will be used at a gig.

Did you have 9.3.3 before? Maybe it's a "staged rollout".
-
AFAIK it's never been "staged" but always a copy all the iOS pertinent files and verify then delete the old and reboot. That's why it takes forever. I was at 9.3.3 before ..4. Did you go into setup and check for updates?

Yah, just checked again in setup on two of mine - no joy ...

Beginning to think improvements are not coming and if they do there'll be a catch. The band are itching to spend some shillings so looks like I'm gonna break the habit of a lifetime and vote Behringer, pity.
By the way, I've retreated to the relative safety of MF3 which now feels a little clunky on iPad 3 compared to MF4 but I feel a little more confident that the DL won't experience a sudden anxiety attack, but who knows?
So long and thanks for all the fishshshshshshshshsh.

Hi Shufflebeat,
I have an Ipad-3 with the current 9.3.5 firmware, running the latest version of Master Fader.
If I move a fader really fast it is a little laggy, otherwise it is working OK.
Good health, Weogo

So which Behringer product are you considering? X32 or Xair? We already have X-Air covered and RR could add a Topic for X32. No mfg. control.

Just doing some searching on "X32 - unforeseen pains" at the minute and have been kindly offered the use of the X32 rack by the very helpful Sam Spoons for assessment purposes.
Should be making a move in a couple of weeks.

You'll always find "unforeseen pains" in any mixer. You are however in good hands with Sam having valuable input probably better than the loaner and your unfamiliarity with the X32. To compound the evaluation, a just released major upgrade V3.0.

I found a big learning curve with the x32
I just have a compact , but also use a Midas m-32 at one club I occasionally do.
The effects and busses take a little getting used to, but with regular use it will come
as second nature. I bought the video guide done by some guy and it's ok at best and I did
Get a few pointers.
Go on YouTube, there are hundreds of video lessons that will really help a lot
I'm not ready to jump ship and still prefer the 1608/32 over the others since it's faster jumping to
various screens and it's pretty intuitive to use. Looking forward to better FX.

Thanks chaps. I've kept tabs on the app since the release of the x32 so I feel I'm fairly au fait with the concepts and structures. It's always a bit different in the real world but nothing like jumping in to get wet quickly.
