Someone walked off with my deoxit, had to settle for crc...   sigh.   I need a leash on these things.

John after a closer look at the pics and my DL1608 cables I realized that it's not the 3M connector system just a flat cable lookalike (Chinese knockoff). There is little strain relieve and not the gas tight Telco developed connector. So get used to the connector maintenance you've just encountered. The 3M system was extensively used in the computer industry for decades without these problems.
