Enabled "Quick Reply".
If you want to upload and display a picture from your PC click on "Additional Options" below the reply window and "Attach" it. A thumbnail will be displayed below your post (see below) and someone can click on that to display the full size image in a new window. Very cool 8).

My host had version 1.1 available for automated install which took about ten minutes. I then ungraded it to version 2.0RC3 which adds a lot of functionality and - more importantly - much improved immunity to spambots. Once I figured out that I could do that by merely uploading a single php script file and pointing my browser to it that took another ten minutes. Of course finding all the settings I wanted to tweak took considerably more time but I think I'm done for now?
It is hosted on Godaddy.com on a shared server hosting account I pay about $6 a month for. I have about ten domains hosted under that one account - one heck of a bargain compared to the co-located server I used to have. That shared server obviously couldn't handle even a small percentage of the traffic HC gets!
In the past I've run BBS's and later had my own listserv. I still "own" several mailing lists now hosted by YahooGroups.

Just for fun I put up a couple banner ads that should rotate once in a while. If you have a standard 468 x 60 banner ad send me it's URL and where you want a click on it to send folks and I'll probably add it to the rotation :).

Whoa, I pulled a real "HC 2.0" when i created the "Charter Member" group and didn't give it permission to see most of the forums here :facepalm:. My apologies :(.

Added display of folk's locations to their posts. If you haven't set your location in your profile we might point and laugh at you so do it now ;).

Upgraded the "Message Preview on Mouse Over" support to something less fugly ;).

Changed the membership level "squares" to "picks" with different colors for the different levels of membership 8).

Upgraded to version 2.0.2 and reconfigured some of the security - hopefully I didn't bust it all to hell :) .

Upgrade to version 2.0.3 security fixes.
