Jay, long-time lurker, and now more active participant. Also a lighting ho'.

Hi Jay,
Lighting has been my living since 1973. Started in community theatre in 1965. Figured it would be a bright future.
-
Yep - I've been a customer of yours. :D

Greetings all. Sound guy that doesn't like to work in the dark here.... 8)

That's funny. I'm a lighting guy and do some of my best work in the dark.

Concert/performance Lighting was my work-study job in college... does that count for anything?!?

Mornin' folks. Soundlight here. Eager to get away from the horrible user interface that is HC2.0.
And here's the Basic Band Lighting Guide: http://www.box.net/shared/hl7oxy4bd6
I should probably update that thing this summer for all of the new fixtures that have come out. It'll take a while, but that's something that I should do.
Original version is sitting at over 1200 downloads.

Thanks for posting that here. I've found it very useful over the last year!

I have spent many years in front of stage lights since I first started performing in grade school. I built my first custom light controller as a senior physics project in high school. Got BS & MS degrees in physics & mathematics, & taught over 36 years, still performing on weekends always melting in front of HOT high watt lighting. I have purchased the lighting I use now based on decisions made from what I learned about light fixtures, DMX, LED lighting, and controllers from posts by Soundlight, Rimmer, BillESC & others. A big thanks! Keep posting & keep me learning more!
