Please list only repeatable bugs with details for reproduction by others. Be specific about gear especially the Tablets (name, model# etc.). Maybe RR can pin this topic? There will always be defective units that will give unexpected results, this should not be included here. Please don't include the 29 Mackie defined bugs.

I've got a bug to report.... MF5 hasn't been released for my to use on my DL32R - That bugs me...
Is there a patch available? 8-)

Caution humor ahead! Take a number and wait in line please, or become a Beta Tester (Patch) like Dan and live on the bleeding edge and be a Mackie puppet. End of humor :). Look at their (BenO) revised release schedule and add about 2 months. This topic is about REAL BUGS!!!! The topic right now is about the released iPad/Android V5.0 my bad about V5.x. too far in the future.
For our ESL friends.

You don't have a sense of humour, do you??
And BTW, I don't consider Dan a "Mackie puppet" - I find that blatantly unfair and potentially insulting...

MF 5.0 does not scale in Android 6.0. In landscape many items remaining hidden.

Fails under Bluestacks 4 a V7 Android emulation. Mixing Station has no such issue as do many other apps. Splash screen shows and then a black screen nothing else. Mackie's Connect works as well.

I'd like to understand what your posting means. I'm guessing we are talking about android versions. (An area of ignorance on my part.)
OK. I looked everything up and think I understand but you've got to be brave or foolish to think it would work. (Don't know which.) I guess if you hadn't tried it, someone else would have and then declared Master Fader to be a failure because it didn't work on the bleeding edge of expectations. I'm surprised it worked in any of those situations. I like Master Fader and will be moving to the DL16S by next week. (Got a gig Saturday after next and hope to use it by then.)

OK Wynnd the long version. This is about the Android version of Master Fader 5.0. In the past I used the PC to run both the PC version of X-Air and the Android version of X-Air on one PC concurrently (W7 Ultra) for comparisons (two windows), but not on a gig. Mackie's Connect their first Android app for Freeplay works just fine. It would have been useful to run MF 5.0 offline for evaluation but it doesn't work. If anything it's foolish for Mackie not to have it work, probably violating some Android programming rules. Good luck with MF 5.0 beta. Be sure to bring your DL1608 as a backup.

I carry an Alesis MultiMix 16 firewire as a backup always. Never had to use it, but always figured the day I forgot it, my digital mixer would fail. Next gig is 8 minutes from home and I always allow lots of time to set up. (Getting too old to want to hurry.) My DL1608 has never failed me. Might just be lucky but have enjoyed it over the five years I've been using it.

TBH, for a first release, this would be the least of my worries. As long as it runs on the most widespread native Android versions, exotic scenarios like your emulated Android can surely not be considered mainstream and obligatory...

He's right to push the envelope and let us know if it works. Programming can be a bit tricky cross platform and I applaud Mackie for attempting it.
-
That said, I'm not running any android and using my solid iPad mini and iPad pro. Both are new enough to run the new software.

Probably a good idea to stick with the iPad since it had minor changes since V4.5 unlike Android which is brand new.

My thought exactly. I am eagerly awaiting MF 5.1 and the MacBook interface. My MacBook Pro is a 2010 version maxed out and running High Sierra. I've got Cubase on it as well. Wonder if MF 5.1 will support multiple screens?

Multiple screens is a function of MacOs so it should be fine. Disclaimer: Mackie has a way of screwing things up such as Mandolin which may get in the way.
