Title: AMP software
Post by: Weogo on June 09, 2015, 03:31:58 AM
Hi Folks,

For more than a year I have been hearing about AMP(Audio Mixing Platform).
 http://ampmix.net/

I just found out today that it is initially being developed for the DL1608 and A&H GLD, and will be released at the end of this month.
Word is a DL32R version is also being developed, along with other mixer platforms.

For simplicity, it is not going to replace the Mackie app on an Ipad.
But it looks to offer some interesting options for folks who can use them, including the ability to use hardware faders.
What I am looking forward to is the possibility of a wired control option for my DL32R, in case wireless goes down.

Amazing what you can find with a simple search!

Thanks and good health,  Weogo

NICE! Thanks for sharing this! Bookmarked already.  8)

You'd think that this kinda stuff would make Mackie sit up and take notice? Or maybe they're consciously letting 3rd parties do the hard work? Oh well!  :)

Virtually every software maker allows 3rd party vendors to create products that will enhance the functionality of their own products. It allows them to continue doing what they do best, and spreads the wealth around.

This looks very interesting. I'll be curious to see where it goes.
