Title: Noise solution needed!
Post by: Michael79 on March 28, 2016, 05:23:46 PM
Hi everyone,

Im using a Mackie TT24 Analog function to run live audio. When I run signal to the PA system we have; everything works fine the nosie floor is almost obsolete. But when I plug my headphones in the headphone jack. I get this noise with a electrical buzz. Also Im running signal from the group outputs to another board ( Behringer H2442) thats going to a computer thats live streaming the performances. On the Behringers end the noise floor sounds similar to fry bacon on a pan with a 200-500hz hum. Is there a solution to reducing the noise and getting ride of the hum?

The only input thats going to the board is from the Mic channels. And even with all the channels muted with no gain on. The noise is still there, in both Mackie TT24 headphone jack and Behringer headphone jack. Headphones work fine. This makes me believe the nosie is coming from the mackie TT24. Any thoughts? I would much apperciate any help on this matter.

Thank you,
Michael

Are you sure that you don't have phantom on the H2442 inputs that the TT24 is feeding? That can cause the frying bacon sound.

For the hum make sure that everything is plugged into the same AC circuit. Also you can try one of these:

The phantom power is turned off. But the AC is plugged into a different circuit. Ill try that out. Also I appreciate you showing me the isolator Ill definitely look into that.
