Title: Saving wav files off the DL1608
Post by: Harpman on May 23, 2016, 12:03:31 AM
Pretty frustrated trying to save files off MF4. Did a recording last night. If you forget to name the show, it chooses a name like .wav_5.wav. No way to rename.  Tried copying to Dropbox but it fails. Also, the file doesn't show up in iTunes. I can play it on the iPad just fine.  I think it's pretty lame that you can't rename it.  Any ideas?  Have anyone developed an app that can browse the Apple locked down file structure?

What I do.  Attach the ipad to my computer and log into it with itunes.  Go to the app panel and scroll down to the bottom and highlight MF 4.x  (In my case)  highlight the file and copy it over to my desktop.  There I can change the name and I use itunes to change to other file types.

That's what I've done in the past, but because of the naming, with a "." in the beginning, they don't appear so I can't copy or rename.

Try iExplorer it may get you to what you want. Do it before Apple figures out a way to kill it.  ;)

Thanks Bill. For some reason iTunes cannot see files that start with ".".  iExplorer did see them and I was able to copy them off. I'm going to buy this app. Thanks for the help.

No problem, one of these days we need to get together again. Still have that XAP800 for you. At least before you buy that DL32  ;D

Just bought Kepi a Shure Beta 87a. I really like it.  Condenser with built in pop screen.
