Looks like Sweetwater has the DC16 in stock. I didn't realize it was going to be $3500 for just the surface. It looks very cool, but it is very hard to justify that. For less than that, one can get the Presonus RM32 and their CA18 together.

Looks like a lot of fun. Can't justify the price and I think it would inhibit the ability to walk around
the venue making adjustments. Guess you could simply take 1 iPod off the dock to wander with. But I don't like having to have a permanement "home spot"'. I can certainly see this at a fixed installation like a club or church but not for portable systems.
At $3,500 it would take far too many jobs to recoup the investment (rates we charge could be a fun new thread). Since mixing is side job outside the band for me it's not a item on my immediate list of gear.

People will steal anything... a few months back, a guy I know left his FOH mix position to see what was up with one side of an array... got back and his high end notebook had been stolen... 5000 people there, nobody noticed someone cutting a cable lock, unplugging the ps and disconnecting the notebook, apparently putting it in the backpack bag too. To add insult to injury, they stole his iPhone 7 he had just gotten that day... it was in that backpack.
The lighting guy was just to the side of that console. He didn't see nuthin...

I asked my guy a bit ago if he got his gear back or had any leads. Nope... it's been over a month... The computer had tracking software on it, the iphone had Find My iPhone enabled.
Neither have ever showed up anywhere.
And he confirmed they CUT a cable lock. This was at a CHRISTIAN MUSIC EVENT here in the South East, and there were thousands (I said 5 thousand, but he doesn't know exactly, just "thousands")

Doesn't everyone who's looking for a "5 Finger Discount" now and then? Just plain nuts. You can't leave anything unattended these days for any amount of time.
I did sound for a local artist at our school a while back. The artist gave me his latest album on CD to thank me, since I was volunteering at the school. I left the CD on my desk with all my gear alone for about 2 minutes and one of the little darlings from the school lifted it off my desk. My fault for leaving stuff alone.
I was surprised my iPad and iPod Touch weren't lifted as well. I guess I was lucky. LOL! I never leave my stuff unattended now unless I can find someone to watch my stuff that I trust. Ugh! ;)
