Title: Separate FX for monitor mixes
Post by: Chonk on January 20, 2019, 03:15:13 AM
Is there a way to have effects on channel strips in my monitor mix without them being in the main mix?

welcome to the forum Chonk!

the answer is yes,
you simply do not turn up the fader of the reverb return in the Main LR mix.
You did not mention which DL mixer you are using, but you could also use a separate dedicated reverb for that monitor mix, one that is not needed for the Main LR mix.

Assuming you already know how to get certain channels to go into the reverb.

I thought the return fader on the Main has to be up for it to be heard in the monitor?

no, the main LR reverb return does not need to be up to hear it in aux mixes
