Title: record/live stream audio and video
Post by: yyzt4e13 on November 03, 2019, 12:00:32 AM
Has anyone here tried this or something similar.

We have been considering live streaming a song or two at rehearsal. We have the DL1608 and want to use a samsung tablet or phone for the process.  We run everything direct to the board including Edrums so we have a quiet rehearsal.   Can you send the audio out of the board using the headphone out for a stereo mix?  If so what kind of cable would you run to the tablet we tried a TRS to TRRS cable but had no luck.  Is there a setting on the capturing device that needs to be changed. Any help would be appreciated.

welcome to the forum!
Sorry, but your post is confusing...

Yes,

what kind of cable would you run to the tablet?

your "tablet" does not have an audio input.

What are you using for live streaming - your iPad, or a separate device?

More info is needed, like what other gear is involved, what are the Main L-R outputs and Aux 1-6 going to currently.

I have streamed audio and video from various tablets and phones using different interfaces, depending on what I needed.

If just sending audio, yes, sure, run from the headphone out of the Mackie to an audio interface (I use an iRig 2 channel).

A buddy of mine streams via a phone in the field and uses his mixer's audio output to run to his camera's audio input, then that camera feeds audio and video via hdmi to an interface...
