Hi.
We stream a host meeting every week. I am using a webcam attached to the computer so our video picture is Ok, but the sound is terrible. Is there anyway that I can plug one of the aux outputs on the DL1608into my computer using the input socket on the computer and then use this sound with the Zoom meeting?
Thanks

Are you referring to your Church system? Are you using this for speech as well as music? Initially I would suggest turning of auto sound volume, disable noise suppression and any voice enhancements. All in Zoom's Audio settings. Your Internet connection should be solid and relatively hi-speed. Let us know how this turned out.
Cheers
If you had a XR18 or any other USB to DAW enabled mixer this would be much simpler, not so with the Dl1608.

Hi and thanks for the response.
Yes we would normally use the 1608 for music and speech, but there is no music in churches at the moment in the UK. At the moment, we are using the microphone on the laptop, to feed audio to Zoom. I tried simply connecting an Aux Out on the 1608 to the microphone socket on the laptop, but that didn't work, I assume because I am going from from line level to microphone level which wont work. I guess I am going to need to feed the audio through another device to boost the signal?
I will try as you suggest tomorrow and see how I get on - I would love an XR18 but I am afraid a new heating and lighting system are way ahead on my XR18 :)

You're correct two outputs connected together will get you nowhere. You could use a TRS/TS to USB cable converter to hook up to your laptop. https://www.amazon.com/SiYear-Interface-Converter-Connector-Instruments/dp/B07VN4FZN9/ref=sr_1_20?dchild=1&keywords=trs+to+usb&qid=1617301678&sr=8-20 They're inexpensive. Something along these lines if your laptop has an A connector. There are also C connectors. The cable has a converter chip in the connector.

PS. If for some reason you need stereo (2 aux outputs) then this would be useful. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/LINE2USB--behringer-line2usb-audio-interface
Try the UK Amazon or Thomann.

It would be useful to know what your computer is. Make, Model, Year and OS for the next step.

So how is the testing progressing? Would like to close this out.

I got the cable and tested on my own laptop, worked a treat. Passed the cable over to the person who now does the sound at the church. Haven't heard back, but I guess we can close this out. Thank very much for your assistance.

You're welcome that's what this forum is all about. I myself use another form of this cable that goes from XLR-F to USB single channel for mains out and recording if the mixer has no recording facilities.
