Welcome to the Cacophony (aka DisHarmony ;)) forums. If there is anything you can't figure out or need please let me know.

Knock (ock, ock, ock) Knock (ock, ock, ock). Hey, what's that echo I hear???

Cool, RoadRanger. Could be the birth of the new hotspot for Live Sound. Good Luck.

Not the intention - I really hope HC 2.0 does the job :).

EDIT> Nope, it sucks :(.

My eyes need a break. And my brain. Christ, what a mess.

Gotta love the scarcity of admins in this. Amazing. I think I'll take the weekend off and see what's left of it monday.

Oh, I sent Anderton a PM asking him to back it up to the old site and nuke Jive for morbid. I'm sure he'll consider it...... ::)

It's sad that this will splinter the HC community as they all run off to different forums :(. Most of us from Live Sound & Production are also members of PSW so as bad as it gets over there sometimes we at least won't get totally scattered.

I was rather shocked that when I upgraded this forum software this morning it actually seems to be both stable and half decent :o. It was WAY too easy - guess I should a used them Jive fellers instead of this crappy free stuff ;D.

Anyways if any of the crew wanna hang out here a bit that'd be great but most of the fun on HC was the new folks wandering in and out. No way those sort will ever find this hideyhole I think?
:(

Here's hoping he takes your advice.  Given the size and user base of the HC Forums - it's simply incredible that they went ahead with the deployment of such a terrible product.  It's almost as if they've decided to get out of the forum biz - and piss off their user base on the way out.

It's hard to imagine that recovering from that mess is going to be either quick or painless.

Having followed the HC 2.0 discussions on HC over the last few months I can tell you that Anderton has very little say in what gets done there since HC was sold to MF/GC :(.

Ahhh a standard freekin' interface!!! How hard was that?

I can't believe they pushed and pushed and pushed that crappy V2.0 to the point that it's functionally disfunctional.

Hello from another disgruntled HC member .  I spent most of my time in the Backstage with the Band forum or Electric Guitars.

It is presently set to the default of 80x80 but I think it will resize it if it is larger? I believe it supports .jpg, .gif and .png files. If you run into a problem let me know :).

Howdy, all!!!!   8)

See, I can handle change!!!!  LOL!!

RoadRanger,

As quickly as you set this up, I'm REALLY starting to wonder what happened over there.  Damn.  I realize they're dealing with a lot of data, but I assume there was a team responsible for this cluster, and not just one person.  Nice work on this site, BTW.

I'm very happy to see so many familiars up in here.   :)

COOL!!!

Well, Pink Floyd Cramer, I guess this is one way to get your name back.  ;D ;D ;D  All it took was the complete destruction of HC as we know it.   :-[

I, too, hope there are more survivors....   :(

Can I be a charter member, too???  I was going to call 'first chic in,' but I think the metal chics move faster.  :o     ;D

:P

Does anybody know where the Backstage With The Band refugees are running to?

BTW, what are the benefits of becoming a charter member?  Green Stamps?

Hey all. I am mostly a lurker on HC for a couple years, so now I will probably be a lurker here with the occasionally post. Like a lot of people, I am really baffled by the changes with HC 2.0. I can adapt to pretty much anything but the color scheme is killing me. I really have a hard time looking at it for more than a few minutes.

Hopefully, this site will take off. I loved reading all the great advice from people in BSWTB over at HC.

HI-larious! I'm on-board... and I'll post a link for this forum in my now-larger-than-ever signature on HCv2.

I was a regular in the Live Sound, Lighting, and Bass forums on HCv1.

Charter status would be cool, but not necessary. I'm also a Mod over at the Univalve forum at http://www.univalve.net/vbulletin/ (http://www.univalve.net/vbulletin/) so if you need some help on that side of things, let me know.

RR - I'd be willing to moderate one or more of your forums if you're looking for help... Guitar Effects and Amps forums would make the most sense as I am an active builder of tube amps and analog FX... former BYOC Pedal Pageant winner, active 18watt.com member, vacuum toob junkie, yada, yada, yada...

What defines a charter member here?

This forum is pretty exciting, mostly because it kinda has a purple tint to it  ;D and I see all the user names I'm used to seeing. Oh and the fact that it works and is readable, that helps.

Also RR let me know if you need help anywhere that I can be of service, thanks for setting this up.
