Title: Hey RR, what about s dislike button?
Post by: robbocurry on December 14, 2014, 05:57:46 PM
Maybe a dislike button would save a few rows here on the forum?
It would certainly save some time typing!
If there's a comment that's really annoying, you can state your case without getting embroiled in a time sapping back and forth...
What do you think RR, I'll donate at least £5 for development  ;)

Alas, the (somewhat kludgy IMO) third party add-on that supports "like" doesn't do "dislike". The next version of  this forum software will have native "like" support but it's in early Beta and it will be a while before it's stable enough to use.

Hi pytchley, ( Spelling)

I sing with a six piece band, sing and play the guitar, and yes sing with backing tracks, but hey ho, happy christmas to you too, it's a shame I have to get the soldering iron out or buy a Mac to simply change a track or mute the fx, but the industry knows best , so happy xmas to them,          And happy Christmas to the blokes behind this forum too.
 :)

I still wonder with regard to my  suggestions for embedding scene change information in the id3 tag of an MP3, and connecting a physical fader unit to an iPad, what your problem was with that, ok maybe too big a hurdle for mackie, and arguably not a topic for discussion here, but were the ideas using your words really nonsense?

Cheers

Kev

Hey all, just a reminder to head on over to:
https://mackie.uservoice.com/
once in a while to update your "votes", see what others are voting on, and add to the comments. I dunno if they are going to have one for the DL32R too?

Just tried to do just that but got the message "We couldn't submit your vote at this time." Same thing a week ago. Anyone else?

 while we are making suggestions

I think a " hide all responses and posts from that guy" is an essential forum tool that you should consider adding in future updates.

Kev :)

Doesn't the ignore button do the same thing Kev?

Thanks robbocurry, didn't realise there was one. Guess who's gone straight on it. (Hint, turkeys, christmas, polling stations). :) :) :)

I never knew we had one, that's great, thanks so much, where is it? Next to the fx mute Jack?

Can we get rid of the tap talk advert, it's all over my screen, all the time

See you later,  well some of you, ha ha :) au revoir

How about just scrolling onto the next post or topic? Just ignoring it works too, I think.

Seems like many folks don't have that option in their wetware ;) .

Finally managed to vote, had to turn off Ghostery add-on in Firefox.

Is anyone getting thet tap talk  advert blocking their text?

Sometimes I can scroll down and type other times I can't?

Thanks

Thanks Braden, wise words, ignore those who irritate and try and get what you can from the forum

Hmm, I don't get ads in tapatalk so no idea what you're seeing.

I checked, there's no way to opt out of ads now - I was grandfathered because I bought the paid version back before it became free.

Hi there

Hi there, it's doing it again blocking the first ten lines of text, I am using this foforma on an iPad using chrome browser, apart from the tapatalk advert, I find the cursor vanishes quiet a lot, hence the auto spell kicking in on weird user names and giving me wd40 pitchy etc, I can't get in to the text half the time, even when I press on the text I get the circle thingy but no text in view.

Cheers

Oh, you aren't actually using TapaTalk - any particular reason why not? I'll look into the ad thing anyways...

Well, here I am using safari on the iPad. But since I already have tapatalk installed it's just putting a reminder about that at the top and giving me the option to go to that app - it doesn't get in the way at all. Did you try safari? Maybe it's a chrome bug. I use chrome on my laptop but never found any reason to not use safari on the iPad...

Well, I've disabled ads in tapatalk but don't know if this takes care of it? I think that only works on the optional ads that I don't have turned on anyways...

I'm now on my docked iPad that doesn't have tapatalk on it. I'm only seeing the dismiss able full page ad the first time on as expected and a unobtrusive top banner thereafter. This is on safari - I'll try chrome next after I load it.

Oh yah, looks like arse on Chome on the iPad :( . There's no dismiss button - or is there ;) ? Hit the big "A" with the tilde over it on the upper left, that dismissed it on mine. I believe once you've done that once it should stay gone :) .

Thanks so much, I think I just need to use the force more,

It's been a while since i started using chrome, I think it was because safari was sort of slow, but anyway I always seem to get there in the end.

Cheers

Strangely enough Safari and Chrome are both based upon the same open-source code. Google tends to suffer from feature-diarrhea and is less stable than Safari. OTOH the free tapatalk app is pretty cool ;) .

I might just install the app, I just don't like to be pressed,

But once again many thanks for helping
