Title: Master Fader backup file format
Post by: MrDOS on December 16, 2014, 06:03:58 PM
It's of course always a good idea to back up your mixes, so I emailed a backup to myself for safe keeping.

I noticed a "PK" in the header of the .DLBackup file, so on a whim, I copied it to a new file name with a .ZIP extension, and sure enough, you can 'unzip' to see the contents.  The files are of course proprietary, but there's a few .XML files that are easy to read (like EQ presets), and your channel labels are easy to find in the Snapshot*.dat files.
I'm not going to go editing these offline, but I thought it was an interesting discovery.

My first shows with the DL32R are this weekend in an acoustically challenging room - and I am excited to leave the snake at home!

I was so excited to not need my snake anymore, that I sold it!
