Low acoustic guitar volume with DL1608 line input

We have an all-acoustic group and have recently switched from a Mackie analog mixer to a DL1608.  When I plug in a Taylor acoustic into the old board, I get plenty of volume. When I plug it into the line level input on the DL1608, I have to crank up the gain everywhere to get a little. I might have misunderstood the specs, thinking that as long as it said line level 1/4" it would be the same as the old analog board. Can anyone help me out here on either what I'm doing wrong, or what I don't understand? Thanks!

Giving the make and model of ALL the equipment involved would be a first step.

Have you turned up the gain on the channel? Are you using a DI on the guitar?

ey yi yi I was seeing 1/4", and thinking it was the same input as on the analog board. I got it now. geez I'm dense!  So it's just my Taylor 526E Exp. 2 pickup via 1/4" chord into the DL1608 channel 16.  Yup - it's padded down to accomodate a keyboard input, not a low output piezo like my Taylor.     This seems like a weird choice on Mackie's part, probably causing a bunch of guys like me thinking the same thing: on the analog board I can plug in keyboards, drum machines, AND acoustics.  OK I have it now - thanks for the quick replies!
