Where did my settings go?

I just got my DSL 1608 and I'm working my way through the 300 page manual. I'm am current not connected to the unit itself but working with the iPad off line. Up to now, when ever I started the program, the last setup showed up. The last time I opened the app, it was in default mode with none of the changes I had made. I tried reloading the shows I had saved previously but no luck. What happened? Thanks.
