Third Ipad will not dock-connect with 1608

Maybe stupid question, but did u tap the box when it shows up as wired?

Yes and even wiggled the ipad to insure a good connection.  When we plugged in a router, this same ipad was able to connect with the 1608.

Since there hasn't been another solution, I'd suggest a hard reset of the 1608.   Simply hold the rest button next to the power jack while starting it up.   It will ask for a firmware update from the iPad.
