Upgrading from Classic
« on: April 06, 2017, 04:20:54 PM »
I picked up a new iPad yesterday and installed the latest MF. I am now ready to update my DL1608 to the latest firmware. I have about 60 saved shows on my classic that I want to keep. I'm going to backup my old iPad 2 before proceeding.

Are there any concerns, or anything I need to look out for?

I can double check when I get home today, but I'm almost certain that saved shows on Classic don't upconvert to 4.6.
Probably some settings might transfer, but I wouldn't count on it.

hmm - I just read through an old thread from when 3 came out. No comments on lost snapshots (I didn't mean shows).
I did find 1 comment that I would need to manually assign the inputs to the LR outputs.

I just checked on my 1608 that I just updated last week from Classic, and it seems to have captured everything, but I didn't get into routing etc.  Looks like most things transferred pretty well. I stand corrected!
