Hi Steve,

See here:

Thanks and good health,  Weogo

Thanks - I want the tray conversion. The only thing they don't mention is what iPad will fit in that tray. I have a new generation iPad (2017), which is dimensionally different that the Air2. Will this tray work?

I am in the same situation ... moving from an iPad2 to an iPad(2017).  From what I can tell the new iPad uses the iPad Air tray ... but I would suggest calling Mackie and confirming that before ordering one.

Hmm iPad Air 2 = 6.1 mm thick (.24")
iPad 2017 = 7.5 mm thick (.29")

I'm thinking we might have to wait.

The specs for the tray at BH PhotoVideo say it will handle both models.  I think if you buy the tray from them and it doesn't fit, they would take it back.

New item, coming soon. I hope they have one with the lightening connector as well.

You can of course buy it direct from Mackie ... but they will charge you shipping.

Also, if you need to change out the connector too, Mackie has the combined connector and tray all in one unit for a quick installation.  They have it listed for $99 + shipping, whereas if you buy the separate tray and connector from BHPhotoVideo it looks like 39+49=88 with shipping included.  That's a $20 difference for the extra hassle of installation of the separate connector.  Maybe try calling BH to see if they can get the combined unit drop-shipped to you with free shipping?

Yes, I am looking for the full kit as linked above in this thread, but it does not look like this new tray is available yet, and I see no mention of a full kit that can be used with the iPad 2017. I have a request in now with Mackie. We'll see how they respond on Tuesday.
