Well Ryan Cassady, and Mackie have reached a new low. Repackaging a "live version" of a mostly dead product is all that they can come up with? Since they haven't released the tech details other than 150Wwatts and build in 15 hr. battery life doesn't do much for a evaluation.

If you're in the market for something like this I suggest the original Freeplay for about $220 (SAM Ash ) At least it's a 150Watt RMS unit with a 8" speaker instead of a 6" $399 unknown. There are also many other units out there depending on your needs.

Manual on the new Freeplay confirmed my suspicions. The Bi-amp went to a mono amp at half the RMS power (75) the speakers changed to ceramic instead of Ferrite. There no longer exists a feedback destroyer but Bluetooth is now at V4.2 instead of V3.0  if that makes a difference. Weight dropped ~ 2.2Lbs. Better off with the old unit unless you need the lower weight.
