Master Fader routing question
« on: November 08, 2020, 06:07:44 PM »
Dear All, I'm new here, I own a good Mackie DL16S mixer which mostly I use as a studio interface and mixer. I run PC, Win10, Cubase pro, all latest versions.

How can one route in Mackie Master Fader 5.1.1 any standard sound source (from any browser or media player) which are RETURN 1 and RETURN 2 into two channels to be input and recordable in any DAW, in my case Cubase?

Many thanks.

Seems like nobody has an answer for you. Perhaps, like me , they find the question incomprehensible! Can you put it another way?

Hi pakkralj,

Do you want to bring a couple channels in to the mixer over USB?
The default patch setting routes USB inputs 1&2 to the Return 1&2 channels.
Go to Patching, Input-A, scroll down and you will see this.
You will need to make sure your computer is sending those two channels over USB to the mixer.

For the mixer outputs, back to the DAW, go to the Patch page, USB, and select as sources
a couple channels, or the Main L/R mix, or a couple Auxes, whatever you want.
Make sure your DAW input patching sees the mixer's USB outputs.

Thanks and good health,  Weogo
