Control main mix w/iPhone?
« on: May 08, 2022, 03:20:55 PM »
Are there any other digital mixers that allow adjustments to the main mix from an iPhone versus an iPad only? That was one of the most important features to me with the dl32r. Now that the mixer is no longer supported inevitably I would some point be looking to make a switch. Thanks

The Behringer X32 and Midas M32 series consoles are fully controllable through the Mix Station App via iPhone and Ipad.

The Mixing Station app allows full phone control of DL16s, DL32S,  X/M32,  X/MAir,  A&H QU, SQ, GLD, Avantis,  Soundcraft SI, VI .
Behr Flow-8 will run on a phone.
Some mixers have a full-featured computer/tablet app and a 'lite' app for basic controls on a small phone screen.
The 01V96 and some others could be controlled with screen mirroring.

Followup. The Mixing Station App now has been updated to control several Mackie DL mixers.

IME, I have used Mixing Station X/M32 on an iPhone to mix FOH/mon with zero issues other than a smaller screen. Very comforting as a backup device in pocket. MS is quite the 'Bees Knees'.
Though I have nearly zero desire to utilize MS with a Mackie DLxxx, as I thoroughly enjoy MasterFader as is.

As the support and updates starts fading away from Mackie. I have a feeling that Mixing Station may be the only multi platform software that may extend the life of our consoles beyond future Apple firmware updates.
