Minimal lightshow

RoadRanger:
Next gig I'm going to just try 6 conventional PAR38 cans loaded with colored floods - two blue uplights in back and a red and amber on the left speaker top (screwed to their top flypoints) and blue and amber on the right speaker top. I have an old 8 circuit remote relay box that uses a DB9 cable I can use for on/off control. Any suggestions as to what to use the last two channels for? I'm tempted to put a couple pinspots up on the speakers aimed at a battery powered mirror ball I can hang over the dance floor 8). Obviously I could double up the lights if I want more circuits available - the two uplights could go on one, the two ambers on another, the red+blue sidelights on another, and the pinspots on the fourth but that would leave me four circuits I'd have to find a use for x(.

Anyways it's all stuff I have from the old days so I'll see how crappy it looks before I buy some real lights .

Colored flood lamps will be a disappointment.  You'll be better off with halogen lamps and gel.  Better color with more choices and better output.

The colored halogens aren't too bad:

Granted but you still have a VERY limited pallet.  Apollo offer over 150 colors of stock gel and $ 6.79 worth of gel will do a minimum of 6 fixtures.

Hence the "Minimal" in the title :). I'm just trying to get one step up from nothing - then go from there.
