RR;

Had to go and try your suggestion right away. Works a treat. I love the forum, so many great people and fantastic knowledge. I stand re-educated.

Thank you once again for questioning me.  :thu: :thu: or 2 thumbs up even!  ;)

How to get 16 channels out off DL1608 ?

I actually meant a 16 channel input recorder. Never could record 16 channels individually. It's all mixed down to 2 channel stereo inside the DL. But that's more than enough to do a quick recording. I think the DL32 can record all 32 channels individually into a DAW. The app I use is basically a 2 track recorder. I would never use the DL1608 for professional audio recording. But 2 channel stereo from the 1608 is still good quality just the same.  :)

Ok so you got a 2 track recorder like the rest of us , and yes DL32r can stream 24 ch to an external HD or 32 channels to a computer

Like I originally posted, I really thought it would be interesting to share my experience. Not so interesting I guess? Oh well.   :(

You are very welcome!  :)

And RR; I actually was able to email the recorded track to my self from within "Tape" Sure beats pulling the iPad and connecting it to the computer to upload the file. So cool!  8)

Looking for some insight using the "voice record pro" with the DL1608. I just downloaded the voice record pro and was wondering how it syncs up with the dl1608 when you want to record? What steps do I need to follow, or is it automatic? Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you!

Use the "Voice Record Pro" app, record to 24 bit M4A format. Then you can transfer the files wirelessly a whole bunch of ways from within the app. Post process it with "MP3Gain" with the 3rd party "AACGain" update (does not re-code so no quality loss) and you're done :) :

Hey RoadRanger - quick question regarding the downloads you wrote about above. I downloaded the "MP3Gain" but I am not sure what to download in regards to the "AACGain" as there are a bunch of different downloads associated with that. Can you advise? Thank you!!

From http://www.rarewares.org/aac-encoders.php :

"AACGain v1.9
2010-08-03
Command line ReplayGain tool for MP4 and M4A streams based on mp3gain. This release includes the following changes: Fixed a bug in mp4v2 which caused iTunes music video files to fail with "not a valid mp4/m4a file" error. Gives a more meaningful error message when attempting to process Apple Lossless files (which are still not supported by aacgain). Built with updated mp4v2 and faad2 code. Built with latest mp3gain version 1.5.2, which includes id3v2 tag support. See the included README file for more info. By Dave Lasker."
