Presonus Control Surface for AI Mixers
« on: April 15, 2015, 06:42:38 AM »
Boom! Looks like Presonus have created what a number of people would quite like, though perhaps a bit big in relation to the DL1608, it would be the sort of thing that would be welcome for the DL32R. Have a look:

This, and the reverbs, may make me rethink my next mixer choice.

Wow! That looks seriously coooool!

It also looks like it might be hideously expensive down here in Australia...where everything is stupidly expensive.

I'd love to check one of these out though.

Thanks for posting :)

Sir Krang, I feel your pain. Aussie Dollar is down to around 75c US. Me thinks I might be waiting a while to replace my DL1608 - fortunately I can afford to wait as the DL is doing a fine job. My long term plan is to move to a rack mixer and keep the DL for backup. The DL32R and others are not exactly a bargain at the moment.

Can you guys in the US slow down a little please and let our dollar catch up!

Cheers from a fellow Aussie.

$2,500.00 US for eighteen movers, 4X2 audio I/O, that Presonus is offering motorized multi-fader is news.

$2500?
Too expensive!
This plus RM rack units runs the cost of this setup up into some serious competition....

I had looked for prices, but couldn't find anything definitive. If it is $2500, which will then be £2500 you might as well get a full SL 32.4.2 AI! I am sure I saw something where you could effectively use the RM as a stage box for the SL series.

AVB, though. That's seriously cool tech. And 4 in 2 out is pretty much all I need at FOH.

I like the Presonus company, but after watching the video,,,
gee, I wonder if they want us to realize that their digital console now has flying faders
I'm not poking fun at Presonus, I am happy for them, but whoever was in charge of the production and editing of that video
does not understand "OK WE GET IT!"

I haven't really been looking outside my comfort zone of manufacturers recently, these look great - thanks for the link.  :)
