Totally agree, have been pleased from day one and the upgrades and added features have only made it better.
Aside from a few bug fixes (like slow faders) that were annoying until repaired I have no issues. I bought it knowing it was not a DiGiCo or large venue board and I have never tried to make it something it's not, or bitched when it didn't perform like studio console.
I use my 1608 maybe once a month, but use other bands 1608's and DL32's almost weekly since they bring the mixer and I just carry my iPad. I like that I can write or modify a program at home and upload it to their mixer in a flash.
While I have other mixers that have better EQ and FX, the light weight, ease of the app and perceived reliability makes the 1608 the one I usually grab to take. I do keep a spare small Yamaha in the van just in case.
