We use a DL1608 in our church which does not have internet access. Initially I set the system up on a standard router with no problems. However I have a need to stream music from the iPad remotely from the DL1608. I then used an Airport Express as the router and airplay to stream the music. This worked, even allowing for a small delay, however the building is a 1400c stone building and from certain critical areas the AE seems to drop the connection from the iPad to the 1608 which was causing issues, so I reverted back to the original set up.
I then added the AE as an access point and whilst this worked, the AE is now regularly dropping the stream no matter when I am in the building.
Tango was suggested but that was a problem as we needed to devices and don't often have that.
Has anyone any ideas. Would it work better if I used a cable to connect the router and AE?
