Mackie's last nail in the Mixer Coffin

With no new software features and behind it's competition even in hardware Mackie raised it's price from $699 to an astounding $849
for their DL16S. That's a 21% increase. Its quite clear to me that they have no desire to compete in this market. Behringer on the other hand reduced its XR18 from $599 to $549 (Back to $699 playing guess what the price is today at Sweetwater) and Midas is now at $599 (back to $699 Sweetwater) for their MR18. Both are more bang for your buck. Did some bean-counter at Mackie screw up?
Cheers
