Rumor is that Guitar Center isn't long for this world. Dunno whether to :( or :) , whatcha think?

I think there's quite a bit to it.

Just do a little Google search research... there's quite a bit of info out there.  I believe you'll run across some other well known brand names loosely (or tightly) "joined at the hip" so to speak... past & present.

I stumbled into and read up on this subject fairly in-depth a few months ago... a few weeks before the past presidential election... I stumbled into it while researching one of the presidential candidates business ventures.

I dunno... I'll suggest there's a litmus test going on here... comparatively small scale... possibly insight to a larger picture of the house of cards built on sand where growth was the business model, but the sand is shifting and the growth thing is not all it was hoped to be, so then what?
