Wireless connecting
« on: March 17, 2013, 07:29:14 PM »
Another struggle I have had (I am a new owner) is getting the iPad to connect to the wireless. When I boot up the iPad, it sees the SSID of the wireless for my mixer and connects to it.  I slide the iPad into the mixer, do  my setups, and then slide the iPad out. It does not seem to be able to find the mixer and goes offline.

I have tried turning off the router, mixer, iPad and then powering up the router, then the mixer and finally the iPad. I have to do this over and over until the iPad connects to the mixer over the wireless.

This is very frustrating and wastes a lot of time before the show.  What am I doing wrong?

You have to turn on the router before the mixer and allow it to fully boot before powering up the mixer. My router takes a full 1.25 minutes to boot . When the mixer is powered up it seems to only try once to find an IP and if that fails never tries again . I hope that they fix that to try every few seconds or so if an Ethernet connection is detected :) .
