Lame Mackie VLZ4 mixer video

So Mackie thought it would be impressive to smash up some mixers to prove theirs can take ridiculous abuse that the 99.9999% of mixers will never see. Unfortunately, the real problems that have plagued Mackie mixers over the past 20 years haven't been addressed (that we know of). Problems like buttons and pots getting noisy with age. Problems with ribbon cable failures. Problems with difficult repairs (that don't last) due to the monolithic PCB construction. The video is entertaining on very adolescent level, but it certainly doesn't convince someone like me who's purchased hundreds of Mackie mixers during my 15 years in post production to purchase any more.
Enjoy the silliness...

Actually it's their new maintenance procedure for re-seating cables, contacts and fixing noisy pots. Those buttons and knobs will never give you any more problems just get the torch out.
