To delete the file simply select it as in the video and hit the "Del" key .

Where on the IPad, not connected to a computer is the recording file?

you can not access the recordings made with the "record" feature on the Master Fader app.
You can only retrieve audio files with iTunes.

If you want almost instant access to a recording made with Master Fader, and don't have access to a computer,
use a free app named "Voice Record Pro" It works great!
