Playback Through 30 Pin Connector
« on: February 17, 2015, 04:28:58 AM »
I apologize ahead of time if I've missed this on the Forum, but has anyone tried a 30 pin to audio connector on a DL1608?  Like this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/8-Pin-Lightning-to-30-Pin-Cable-Audio-Adapter-for-iPhone-5-5S-5C-6-Plus-/191496092174?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c960e7a0e

I'd like to run break music from a iPod without having to dock the IPad.

Thanks.

Doesn't work - the DL1608 requires the audio to come in digitally over the USB pins. It ignores the analog audio pins.

Apple 30pin - lightning connector should work no need for the audio cable , if your iPod is a touch model

I get it.  You're looking for a different way to feed the ipad channel.  I usually have extra channels and use a 1/8th phone plug to split XLRs from my airport express for airplay and can also pull that and plug straight into someone's phone.  If you need all 16 channels, this doesn't help much.
