I was quite happy with the app when I bought it in 2013 (Sept)  Now I use most of the new tools and it has become more functional.  If they didn't do anything but fix bugs, I would still be happy.  Not expecting to replace this mixer.  (Getting too old to be looking at new hardware.)

Totally agree, have been pleased from day one and the upgrades and added features have only made it better.
Aside from a few bug fixes (like slow faders) that were annoying until repaired I have no issues.  I bought it knowing it was not a DiGiCo or large venue board and I have never tried to make it something it's not, or bitched when it didn't perform like  studio console.

I use my 1608 maybe once a month, but use other bands 1608's and DL32's  almost weekly since they bring the mixer and I just carry my iPad.  I like that I can write or modify a program at home and upload it to their mixer in a flash.

While I have other mixers that have better EQ and FX, the light weight, ease of the app and perceived reliability makes the 1608 the one I usually grab to take.  I do keep a spare small Yamaha in the van just in case.

I think all some are looking for are bug fixes.

That'll do. I don't really appreciate surprises any more. Just doing what you say you'll do keeps me very happy.

It's the perfectly timed system lock-ups that I find it hard to feel grateful for.

What cloud? I've never had a problem exporting them to DropBox.

Here's a strange one:

If I connect with one iPad3 all is cool. I change a few things, maybe we have a banjo player instead of a fiddler. So then I "replace" the scene and all is saved.

Then I connect my 2nd iPad3, it asks me whether I want to use the scene on the iPad or on the dl1608, I choose the dl1608 where my changes are saved - but the dl1608 loads the scene on the 2nd iPad and all changes are lost.

Any thoughts?
