DL1608 Price Drop!

hey look, they're all $600 now!

is this a blowout before a new model release?

maybe a cool 18 or 20 in, 11 out (4 stereo IEM mixes plus L-R-sub) rackmount box for a grand or less? maybe one with regular USB ports that let you plug the ipad right in with a sync cable?

You never know. My toy store, Long & McQuade here in Toronto stopped stocking them in Dec last year. They only have the DL32. Fingers crossed for a new one that fits all our wish lists!  8)

Sounds like the inventory dump. Years back I predicted $699 but with the X18 at $499 they'll have a tough time getting rid of them for $599. Major show coming up is Musik Messe in Frankfurt. Most major suppliers already dumped the DL806 a while back. Let the dreaming and speculation begin.  :) With the recent Yuan and Peso dropping against the US$ it also helped pricing.

Withe the Euro at 0.77p it costs 10% more to buy from the Eurozone than it did last year. The DL1608 is nearly £600 (it's EUR755) in the UK if bought from a certain large German retailer at present. Despite the exchange rate that is still over £100 cheaper than I could buy one in the UK, (£554 ex VAT or $785).
