any wild unsubstantiated guesses? :)   I'm hoping for a DL16R or similar.

How about someone like B... or M... producing a more affordable version of this DML (Distributed Mode Loudspeaker). Right now at $7500 each.  http://www.tectonicaudiolabs.com/pl-11
Got a spare $15K around? :) To use with a $600 mixer  ;D.

Looks like Midas is cranking up some low end products and some high end ones as well.

Mackie missed the boat on the DL1608R a while ago. No way for them to exceed the XR18 capabilities, maybe match them at a higher price point.  :( Then they have to match the X32R, good luck.

P.S. One glaring screwup on the Midas Heritage D is the same lame WiFi XR radio. The single antenna is a dead give away. Hope they fix that.

Great for female a Capella no subs required. Band most definitely need subs. To do it justice you'd be close to $30K for a system. Then again we could go with another technology currently available from JBL called DDS (Digital Directivity Synthesis) That's only $12K per speaker for the lower end DSX180.  :)  Lot's of solutions out there, but for now I've settled on JBL's CBT (Constant Beam-width Technology). Would certainly like to bypass room eq since most of the time there is no opportunity to do it.

Looks like just the "Big Knob" series.  No new digital mixers.

I'm gutted that none of the new products I pitched here a few years ago have made it to the shops yet.
