Apps to use with DL 1608
« on: April 16, 2013, 06:27:32 PM »
I was was just wondering which apps users are finding useful with the DL 1608. I use with out at almost every gig :- 'djay' for interval and DJ music, 'stage traxx' to play backing tracks,  'voice record' to record the sets, 'Remote HD' I have a MacBook hooked up to play some backing tracks and operate lights and with this app I can control my MacBook from my ipad, finally 'JL Audio' from time to time to find nasty feed back feq.

For another free RTA, I also like AKLite. It has a nice FFT that shows the value of the loudest frequency. It doesnt have enough low frequency resolution to be useful for EQ'ing a room but there is more than enough mid and high resolution to be useful for ringing monitors and monitoring inputs and aux outputs using an attenuator cable from the headphone solo out -  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/aklite/id423519680

Also - not a live application but I really like Garage Band. I just use it for practice and havent delved into it too much but the smart drums through a pair of monitors make a great $5 drum machine
