My GF purchased the iPad 1 a few years ago to use an app called OnSong for her lyrics. I bought the iPad 3 when I bought the DL1608 and subsequently an iPad 4 (Retina). I leave the iPad 3 docked in order to record and the iPad 4 to mix from FOH. Would have probably bought an iPad anyway since I'm on the beta team for OnSong and my GF gets mad at me when I keep taking her iPad to test with
